Top Notch Sewing Connection offers exceptional services, led by the knowledgeable and skilled seamstress, Gloria. The shop's atmosphere is welcoming and comfortable, making customers feel at ease. The staff was very helpful with great attitudes, and prompt at getting work done in a short notice. Gloria is a master of her craft, communicative and considerate throughout the process. The gentlemen who operate Zuha Trend, where Gloria is currently operating out of, are also top notch. Top Notch is a business based in the community, and Gloria's hard work and expertise ensure customers are comfortable, secure, and stunning. Gloria is also thoughtful in navigating limitations, and willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
Ms. Gloria is a master of her craft. She handmade my wedding reception dress with no pattern and altered all of my bridal party’s dresses as well. She was communicative and considerate throughout the process, and she is a joy to collaborate with. Due to the condemnation of the building she previously rented, she is (as of April 2025) operating out of Zuha Trend’s menswear storefront on Loockerman, which comes with some limitations. Ms. Gloria was so very thoughtful in her navigation of this situation, including rescheduling one of my fittings to afford us more privacy from Zuha’s male clientele. The gentlemen who operate Zuha Trend are also ‘top notch.’ Each time I came in, they greeted me and ensured I was taken care of. Top Notch is a business based in the community. You will see folks greet Ms. Gloria and one another, joke together, and share life updates. Some of this will happen during your appointment. It’s wonderful. If you want a more sterile, buttoned-up experience for your formal alterations, try driving farther and paying more at David’s Bridal. My dress was the center of attention at my reception, and my bridal party and I were comfortable, secure, and stunning all night long, thanks to the hard work and expertise of Ms. Gloria at Top Notch.
For months I have been trying to find a zipper for my flight jacket. There was no where I could go that you would think would have a simple zipper for your jacket. I was even on the Internet in other countries looking for my zipper. No luck... Then, I was at the end of my search when I saw a store in downtown Dover, Delaware and decided to stop in and see if they could help solve my zipper problem. Highly Recommended: The place I went to was what made all my dreams come true, it was: Gloria Cartwright of: Top Notch Sewing Connection, at:146 S. Governors Ave., Dover, DE, United States, Delaware.
