About Four Paws Animal Hospital
Four Paws Animal Hospital is a compassionate and caring veterinary office. Dr. Mike, Dr. Theresa, and Dr. Michael Metzler are dedicated professionals who prioritize the well-being of their patients. The staff is gentle, kind, and respectful, making the experience as comfortable as possible for pets and their owners. They are understanding and patient, taking the time to explain every step of the process and address any concerns. The hospital treats every pet like family, with some clients noting that although there can be a wait, it is totally worth it. During visits, the staff is organized and works as a cohesive team to care for a substantial number of waiting patients, many of whom may be less patient. The entrance is a gravel driveway off Eskridge with a large sign, and appointments tend to book up well in advance. Upon arrival, patients check in and wait in their cars until called, often experiencing a short wait before being brought into the examination room. With affordable prices and top-notch care, Four Paws Animal Hospital consistently earns high recommendations from its clients.
I cannot say enough about Dr. Mike, Dr. Theresa, & the staff here because they are angels in my eyes. My young dog had a blockage in his stomach (which was determined after an x-ray they took in office) & had to have a pretty intense surgery to remove it which in itself is terrifying to hear but Dr. Mike & his staff were very supportive, informative, & as helpful as possible through the whole process & Dr. Mike kept my baby alive & I will be grateful for as long as I live! It's because of them that my dog gets to see another day & that I get to see it with him. Thank you to everyone at Four Paws Animal Hospital! With love, from Leila & Sebastian 🐕
Dr Mike is a Godsend. Well, everyone else wants a ridiculous amount of money for a Dental, he still has old-school prices. There are not many vets like him left in this world. You will have a ridiculous weight. That’s what happens now that everybody’s found out about him. He does not take appointments. It’s first come first serve. My recommendation is to get there at 8:45 or 9 AM. Sign in and plan to wait hours and hours. Wait in your car with your Air Conditioning and a good book. The Internet doesn’t work very well there and neither does cellular service if that stuff is important to you then go somewhere else and pay thousands.
I met Dr. Theresa Kothstein for the first time today. Myself, three kids, and 4 animals all in one room did not cause any sense of unease with her. She took her time with each of our animals and educated on all I should know to take the best care of our fur family. Thank you for the compassion and patience with us today!
