I had the pleasure of visiting You Matter Spa over the Christmas holiday and it was an AMAZING experience. This space is very intimate and inviting. I selected the oil I wanted for my full body massage and the magic began. My body was brought back to life and the stress was removed from places I didn't know they existed. Sharla catered to the stress and tension that existed in my back and neck. The hot stones were intimidating at first, but then they weren't. The movement of the stones was an added bonus to boosting the flow of blood through my body. I left feeling invigorated and refreshed!!! I got two pre-natal massages here (and one somewhere else due to a gift certificate), and Sharla's massages were far and away the best. She has a special cushion that allows you to lie comfortably on your stomach, and the entire massage was catered to the aches and pains of pregnancy, and included a great exfoliating foot scrub. Cannot recommend You Matter Spa enough.

I've been scowering Yelp for the "best" place to get a prenatal massage on the city. And when the Four Seasons - and honestly 7 other places I tried - didn't have last minute availability, I gave You Matter a try. BEST DECISION EVER! Let's start with the location. It's unassuming, just off the Main Street in Anacostia, which I hadn't been to before.
