I recently visited a traditional massage studio that feels more like a private home studio, located in the basement of the practitioner’s home. The environment is very clean and cozy, with soft lighting that helps you relax. The elderly gentleman is very kind and speaks multiple languages, including English and Chinese.

I mainly received an upper body massage, focusing on my back and shoulders. The massage effectively alleviated the muscle soreness and tightness caused by carrying heavy loads and working out. If tomorrow the Washington Post declared Wan H Lee the greatest massage therapist in D.C., I would immediately turn to my partner and say "yeah, duh, I know." For almost 6 years now, whenever I develop a problem from working out, a creak from the physical activity of everyday life, or just want to treat myself, I go here. You should too. Just don't take my spot.
