I dropped by on a Saturday afternoon to make an appointment, and was straight-away treated to a fantastic blended Thai and Deep Tissue Massage that dug deep into my two main problem areas. A day later, I can still feel things working loose. I will definitely be going back!
Full disclosure: I am a sports massage therapist who owns a Sports Massage Clinic. I say that because I am more than likely more critical of most. I found the building easily and also lucked out getting a parking space very close. It is down a level in the basement but that is common in DC. I came in and filled out the intake form and clearly identified my problem areas. Mainly my right shoulder because I had previously torn my rotator cuff on a client and was still noticing trouble turning the steering wheel. I was asked if I wanted the blend or straight Thai and I chose the blend. This woman WORKED! She put a great deal of effort in my massage. At times the pressure was really strong but I knew if I could breathe through it, it would pay off. The blend was something that I liked. She definitely focused on my problem areas. The work she did on my forearms was great too. They ache pretty regular because of how much I work. Bottom line, when I left, I did not have the pain when I turned my steering wheel. That was quite impressive. The pain has also not returned! I do not get out to DC much but I will do this again!
