The hair stylist and salon were nice however the quality of service was not. My hair didn't look like I left the hair salon when I get out of the chair. Also, it was overpriced for a bad style. I do not recommend.
I was in town for an event, and I booked this stylist so that I'd have a fresh style on the day of the event--I live 5 hours away, and I have a short haircut. I originally booked the "wrap & curl for relaxed hair" service, thinking I would have already had a touch-up relaxer service by my home stylist. I couldn't book my home stylist prior, so I let this stylist know that I would also need a relaxer. Before I go on, I would like to state that I don't particularly appreciate getting services outside of styling from a hairstylist other than my home stylist. The stylist relaxed my hair without issue. I told her I wanted just a bunch of curls--my go-to style. L After rinsing the relaxer, wrapping, and drying my hair, the stylist suggested I trim my hair for my curls to last better since I had a "pageboy" cut. Initially, I said no to the trim because she is not my stylist. However, the unsureness in her voice regarding the style I showed her --of myself with the same length of hair, maybe a bit shorter on the nape, coupled with her 27 years of experience made me go with the trim. She did not trim my hair. I didn't see how much she cut originally because not much hair fell for me to see. She cut so much that I don't even have an everyday style. The final product was excellent, and the weird haircut was unnoticeable. However, after washing my hair today, I literally cried. It's uneven and incredibly short. It's so bad that I have to go to my stylist tomorrow for a revision--hopefully, I do not have to cut too much more hair. I paid $157 for this mistake. I wish she had told me HOW she was cutting my hair before chopping it the way she did--especially since I was a visiting client. I trusted her expertise, given her years, my research of her work, and the fact that my Harlem stylist is originally from the area. I am highly disappointed, and I am not sure of what I can do besides this review.
