Kim is amazing. I've been with Kim since Summer 2021. One thing I've learned about natural hair since big chopping in 2016 is that there are so many people out here who play in your hair but have no idea what they are doing.Kim is a master at her craft. She takes care of my hair. She makes sure it's healthy. She sends me ideas of creative styles she wants to do and I love rocking one of Kim's Kreations. From a roller set to a wash and go to braids, Kim is really amazing.Also, she's fast. No more getting out of the salon after the sun goes down.
Me and my mom (both naturals) had not been to a hair salon in about 15 years because it was hard to find a good one near us. But with us attending the Women Songwriters Hall Of Fame Awards in June in DC, we needed help fast. Thanking God we found Kim! Will definitely make the drive from WV to MD from now on! (Google! If you are a Black woman who just can't sort out what to do with your natural hair, you've come to the right place. For many reasons: 1. The salon is impeccably clean, including the bathroom. 2. The vibe is relaxed and easygoing, with smooth R&B sounds in the background. 3. Kim gives undivided attention to your hair. She could have three or four people in at the same time, but she dedicates her time to one person, for the most part. 4. I had no idea what she was going to do, but she gave it a good wash, steam (new experience for me) and conservatively cut my loose ends. 5. I am very tender-headed but could barely feel her touching my hair, despite knowing that she was giving a thorough once over. 6. After she was done, Kim twirled me around in the chair and I didn't know who I was looking at!!!!! 7. Kim isn't stingy with her information. She showed me what to buy, gave me advice about how to do my hair (I live in New England). It was an amazing experience. Kim is highly intelligent, converses well, and it was really fun when one of her customers came in and patiently sat waiting for my hair to be done and we engaged in spirited conversation and debate, laughing a lot. It was overall a 100% enjoyable experience. She's worth every dollar you give her. She loves her people. She's absolutely wonderful.
