I moved away from DC two years ago and I still think about Blackbird. They are so talented (s/o: Devin and Bianca). Under their watch I went from natural to purple, to brunette, to red.
The vibes are great, the drinks are great, the hair services great. But the people are especially great.
I miss you all - thank you for giving me high hair care standards!!

I wanted to respond to Nyara’s review. I was there at the time of this incident and Nyara was extremely rude to the front desk staff and asked to speak to a manager. She was then aggressive toward the owner and was asked VERY NICELY to leave. Nyara then chased the owner around the salon and confronted another staff member. The Blackbird staff members handled it all really well. No one cussed at her. I will continue to get my hair done here because they are extremely talented at doing hair, but also because they’re wonderful people.

Stephanie G did a wonderful job! She took her time and really listened to me. Checked on me throughout the process and the outcome shows. I’m completely satisfied with the partial balayage. This was my first time doing color at blackbird, I’ve only done cuts but I trust the people who work there and was happy to try someone new. I’m always happy with the outcome. Plus just getting your hair washed and massaged by Jackie or Ana is a highlight for sure!
