I have been coming to this salon for over five years after being referred by a coworker. Marissa R. (my name also happens to be Marissa) helped transform my hair, which was broken and damaged from years of relaxers and sew-ins. She helped guide me through my natural hair journey with patience and compassion. I moved out of DC a few years ago and tried going to another salon and pretty immediately realized I needed to come back to Bill Lawrence! If you're looking for a professional salon, respectful of your time (one hour in/out), clean, comfortable and the feel of a mini getaway, the Bill Lawrence Salon is your place. My visit yesterday was the first time I've been to a professional salon in years, and now I'm hooked. Mr Lawrence took the time to breakdown the health of my hair and recommended what I should and should not do to my hair. I was tired of fighting the natural hair fight, so I put a kiddie perm in my hair, Mr Lawrence knew everything that I had done. He encouraged me to trust him and to transition back to my natural hair. After being in the DC area for 26 years, I can honestly say that I trust him with my hair. He has COVID safety protocols in place to ensure that his clients are comfortable and safe. The customer per hour Policy not only protects us as customers, but it really shows his care and dedication to the team of stylist in the salon. Lastly, this is the best part for me... he has a personality. He allowed me to ask questions, crack jokes, and state that "I" was a beautician all of these years.
