In just a few words - Mehmet is an elite master stylist - reminded me of work class stylist from NYC or Europe. Mehmet gets it and has the skills and creativity make it happen the first time. 6 Stars! O Nova

I have gone to Bella Moda for years, and was a very happy repeat customer. Stella had been my go-to stylist there for a very long time, and she always did an amazing job. They were also always ready for me when I had an appointment. Last weekend I went in for a basic women's haircut and pedicure, and it took around two hours. Roughly 40 minutes of that was spent waiting for my appointments, even though I was on time and booked days ahead. Apparently my stylist had allowed a customer of hers from a different salon to take my appointment time, even though I had been a customer of "this" salon since early 2018. Karen, my stylist, did not look at my hair before my shampoo, and I sat after my shampoo for an additional 10 minutes before she started on my hair. We talked at length about what length I wanted the cut to be, which was an inch below the shoulder. She even said she might go about a quarter of an inch lower, which I thought was a good idea. She then proceeded to give me a completely different haircut, which wound up sitting just below my neck (3-4 inches shorter than we discussed or I have ever worn my hair), without asking if it was OK to go so much shorter, she just did. She also kept assuring me that I would LOVE my hair this way, and that I had given her a beautiful canvas for which to work. The problem was I didn't say to her "Hey, I have really long hair right now, do what you want and just wow me!" We talked at great length about what I wanted, and I felt like she just decided to give me a different cut without consulting with me. Afterall, she knew better than me, what would look good on me. I wonder how many stylists who think they know better than their clients what will look good on them, consider the actual feelings of thier clients about that? All of this combined with the very long wait times despite the salon not being that busy, and the fact that I had a reservation, means that I will probably seek out a different salon after being a loyal patron of this salon for 6 years. However, it will be a while because my hair has a lot of growing out to do now.
