About 1st street Haircut
1st Street Haircut is a local barbershop that specializes in various haircut services, including military-style fades, shaves, and kids' haircuts. The establishment is known for its experienced staff, with Gina offering over 20 years of expertise in women's hair. The shop caters to a diverse clientele, offering discounts for military, police, and senior customers. Customers praise the great value and affordable prices at 1st Street Haircut, with some noting that it provides better haircuts than more expensive salons in the area. The shop's clean and well-equipped stations, as well as the presence of a play area for kids, make it a convenient and family-friendly option. While the service may not always perfectly match individual preferences, especially for those with longer hair, the barbers are generally described as skilled and kind, providing a satisfactory experience for most customers.
The hair stylist had her AirPods in and was on a call talking to someone our entire appointment, which I didn't realize until she started cutting and did what I'd asked her not too do (take some length off my kid's hair) -- but clearly she hadn't been listening, just rushing through ignoring us. The cut itself looked nice (after we pointed out what needed touching up) and the shop seems accommodating for kids, but she just seemed to not give a crap about her customer so I'm not inclined to return.
I used to be a regular at the great clips in Noma, but after a couple of bad experiences there, I gave this one a try. This is just a block from my house. It was a no brainer to give one a try. I have had three different hair stylists on three different occasions. All of them were attentive to the kind of cut I wanted. They all delivered a satisfactory cut. The recent one was extremely good. He took real good care of my hair and scalp. He went above and beyond to ensure I get the prefect cut I requested. The place is very clean. They have two large TVs to keep the guests entertained while waiting. They are often not busy during the weekdays afternoon after lunch. Price is nominal. Costs about $30 for men's haircut. I highly recommend this one and I hope more men would give it a try.
Great local spot for a cut! My Seoul brother Kevin took care of me when I walked in. He was very patient and skilled. Each station is clean and well equipped and they have a couple booths as well as a play area for kids. It's a great value, Id recommend it to anyone looking for a cut at an affordable price.
