If you're the type who wants a private, personal setting then this is the place for you! We watched Girlfriends and had great conversation. Plus, she is fast! “I am writing to tell folks about Shear Brilliance Institute. I love this school and salon. I came to Angela (the owner) after going through hair stylist after hair stylist. I came to her after I took out my African braids. I made the mistake by looking on social media of what to do with hair after taking out braids. Unfortunately my hair locked and tangled my natural hair. I came to Angela and she untangled my hair which took her like 2 hours. She was very patient and kind as well as reassuring!! She completed my silk press and boy I was a happy camper!! She didn’t charge me for unlocking or detangling my hair and most salons would!! That was 10 months ago!! The prices are great and they do an awesome job!! I thank God for Angela and for my friend for recommending her!!

“They boosted my self-esteem up, as I had once gone to a different salon and that one ruined my hair with their hair dying at that different salon and took a while for me to grow out my roots. So I wanted to just go back to my natural hair color, which was a dark brown color, as well as get rid of the dead ends. The owner's daughter had done my hair this time to help me get my hair back looking beautiful again. She treated my hair with such care, asked me questions on what exactly I wanted to get done, and even re-asked to make sure of it, and got to work on my hair. The workers were all nice to me, and the same can be said they treated all their guests nicely. When everything was done, I felt beautiful again, with a new beautiful hairstyle. So I like to thank this salon for doing this for me, and I plan to come back for more stuff to get done.
