I truly love this hospital. The staff and doctor are just so kind and considerate. I’ve visited several other vets in the Hartford area and had terrible experiences with very inexperienced vets and money-hungry practices. I brought my daughter's dog on New Years Eve to Mattatuck Animal Vet. We were greeted with a compassionate staff. The veterinarian was very through with my daughter's dog. I highly recommend the dr and expertise.

While this animal hospital will do all they can to help your pet, they are no longer able to provide pet euthanasia. (New regulations on opioids, that's all I know)
Other than that, my experiences there have always been very good. People are kind, prices are very fair.
I brought my 15 yr old kitty to have her checked out. I thought she might be having a dental issue. It turned out to be a tumor under her tongue. The vet was very kind, explaining that this type of tumor is very common and also very aggressive. I won't have her suffer.
