Dave’s Shoe Repair is truly a gem in our community. In a world where everything feels disposable and convenience often wins, stepping into an old-school cobbler shop feels like stepping back into what makes small towns so special. Dave brings that salt-of-the-earth energy we’re all craving these days. He has repaired shoes, boots, and even leather messenger bags for me — pieces that still had so much life left and meant a great deal to me. And more than once, with a smile and a wave of his hand, he’s laughed and insisted it was an easy fix and wouldn’t take payment. Shops like this hardly exist anymore. Dave not only does impeccable, careful work, but he clearly loves what he does. His craftsmanship is unmatched, and the whole experience reminds you what real community feels like. If you have a treasured pair of boots, shoes, a bag, or any leather item that needs a little love, I can’t encourage you enough to support him. Businesses like this deserve to be cherished.
