My boys have been going here since they were in middle school and both are now grown and I myself also joined a few years after them. Both of my kids gained so much confidence in themselves and have grown so much. It’s more than a dojo to us it’s like a family. If you want to learn traditional Okinawan karate from someone with direct ties back to Okinawa this is the place for you. I looked at many different martial arts schools when my sons expressed an interest in doing karate and I am so thankful that this where we landed. There is no place better to learn true self defense and not just the showy demonstration karate that so many dojos do these days.

My children have been training at Black Bear Dojo for many years and the karate, self control, discipline, and confidence they have learned has been awesome. The instruction is top notch and the dojo treats everyone as family. I would highly recommend Black Bear Dojo for anyone looking to learn traditional karate.
