About Soundview Medical Associates
Soundview Medical Associates is a healthcare practice that has served the community for many years. Patients generally appreciate the caring and competent medical team, including doctors, nurses, and PAs, who are described as kind, compassionate, and helpful. The staff is known for providing useful advice and quick assistance, with some praising specific personnel for their dedication and efficiency. The medical services, including blood tests, are often smooth and result in prompt communication, with results typically available online the next day. However, the practice faces challenges in its administrative and communication systems. Patients have expressed frustration with the front desk, citing issues such as difficulty obtaining forms, unfriendliness, and poor setup, which affects privacy and overall experience. Contacting staff or making appointments can be a hassle, with some reports of long wait times and unreturned calls. One staff member responsible for scheduling has been highlighted as a problematic point, with concerns about her responsiveness and inability to follow requests. Patients also note that the practice is moving to a new location, which is expected to improve the experience. Overall, while the medical care and provider quality are highly valued, improvements in administrative processes and communication systems are needed to enhance patient satisfaction.
The doctors and nurses are amazing. As is front desk!
All except for Tracey who schedules for Dr Addleman. TRACEY is TERRIBLE. She does not return calls. Constantly ignores requests to schedule procedures and follow ups. Is always “at lunch” no matter what time of day you call. Soundview please do something about her!
Check in system is stupid. You can hassled by text and the app to check in through the site/app but it doesn't actually check you in. So you are left waiting until you check in at the desk.
The fax system is a mess and needs to be improved. I had 3 phone calls and spoke with 5 separate staff members this week to follow up a fax regarding an urgent need for my mother who has Alzheimer's. Today, I spoke with medical assistant Emily, who decided to overtalk and interrupt me SEVERAL times, even after I explained to her in a pleading voice that I know healthcare is tough and this is not her individual fault, but I just need someone to actually LISTEN to me and get this fixed today. Her response was to then put me on hold while I was in mid sentence. So thank you Emily, for making our lives that much harder to deal with. All you needed to do was pretend to care.
