Clients have been highly satisfied with the care they receive at LIBH. The staff is described as friendly, caring, and supportive, going above and beyond to ensure patients' needs are met. The medical professionals, such as Dr. Benowitz and nurse Christina Meehan, are praised for their excellent listening skills, patience, and genuine concern for their patients' well-being. Maryfrances, in particular, is commended for her thorough, kind, and supportive approach, as well as her willingness to make adjustments to patients' care plans as needed. Overall, LIBH is considered the best mental health facility in the area, with clients expressing gratitude for the positive impact it has had on their lives.
I cannot recommend Dr. Carter enough. From the very first session, she made me feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. I was incredibly nervous about starting medication, unsure of how it would affect me, and honestly scared of the whole process. But Dr. Carter took the time to walk me through everything, answer my questions, and never made me feel pressured. She combined thoughtful conversation with careful medication management, ensuring that I felt comfortable every step of the way.

This team is exceptional, from Melissa in the office to providers to the fact that they handle medication issues with your pharmacy promptly, accurately, and always respond to me very quickly. Scheduling options are great too! I appreciate the consideration they always put into my care and highly recommend them to anyone for their mental healthcare needs.
To start, my review is NOT geared towards my providers: Stacia Heller and Alexia Cortella. Firstly, I do not understand why the secretaries do not answer the phone most hours. I would not know if this establishment has fixed this problem, as I've stopped calling because I'm tired of leaving a voicemail. From my experience, the secretaries literally do not answer the phone past 3:00 pm (newsflash: this place closes at 5:00 pm). I called one Thursday before 5 to cancel an appointment the following Tuesday, leaving all of the necessary information, and they did not cancel this appointment for me, and instead fined me 100 dollars for not showing up.
