I recently attended The Basics of Studio Headshot Lighting workshop organized by Robert Fiedler and taught by instructor Woody Dwyer, and it was an excellent experience! The class was very informative and well-structured, covering essential lighting techniques for professional headshots. Woody explained concepts clearly and provided hands-on guidance throughout the session.
A highlight of the workshop was working with two professional models, which made the learning process practical and engaging. The environment was welcoming, and the Art League of New Britain provided a great space for creativity and learning.

Love this place. The instructors are wonderful. They are great teachers, helpful and patient. There's absolutely no pressure at the studio! They want you to do you. Fun and relaxing. I make pottery and go there to throw or hand build using clay. Jim and Mark are very knowledgeable and help with all of my questions. There's another instructor who runs painting classes. I've been going for a few years and recommend ALNB to beginners and experienced people. If you're a beginner interested in learning about pottery I highly recommend ALNB. There's zero judgment. You will only get positive support from everyone!!!!

The barn gallery is worth seeing simply for its history. The Art League holds rotating exhibitsin all visual media with both invited and juried shows, and activities for its members.
