Just moved to the Hamden area and I asked on FB for recommendation for a place that does acrylic nails. This place was recommended. I booked an appt online through square which was super easy. Saves the hassle of calling and seeing whats available. I wasn't sure who to pick since I was new but I booked with Ken because he had the availability I needed. I got acrylic set with colored acrylic powder. Short almond shape. He did a great job, I asked him to make a few changes and he did with no problem and made sure I liked what he was doing by asking me if it looked okay or if I wanted it different. I would def come back here.

I came here to do my nails before my wedding and it was such a disappointment. All I wanted was a simple pedicure and gel nails. My toes were not painted evenly. The gel nails was the most disappointing part. I know how to do gel nail's myself, I just wanted someone else to do it for the wedding and I regret it. It felt rushed, she didn't take any time to properly paint the nails and cover it neatly with the coat. A lot of nails on my right hand were not painted all the way. This less than a week later but you can see that there is no nail polish on the left side of the nail. I will not be coming here again. I'm sure you can find a better place than here.

I chose a dark red matte finish nail. I got a slightly different red, glossy nail. Additionally, the finish is not smooth, or even which hurts my OCD soul. I recently moved to Hamden. This will not be my nail salon.
