My car was stolen and essentially totaled. I just had the engine entirely replaced so it was worth saving. Took it over to Del’s due to some word of mouth suggestions and couldn’t be happier. Awesome staff that were more than happy to work with me on pricing since it was coming out of pocket, got the car back to me way sooner than expected and driving better than before. My favorite part was that they called me with updates instead of me having to be the squeaky wheel.

I have never felt so compelled to write a positive review for a business. In fact, I wish I could do more than write a review for them. As a young-ish woman, going to the mechanic can be daunting- and it can be hard to decipher jargon from deception. This is the opposite of how it feels to get work done at Del's Auto Body in Hamden, CT. Not only did they totally restore my car after a frightening and stressful incident with kindness and excellent communication, they took it upon themselves to upgrade it in ways that weren't necessary- like polishing my extremely foggy plastic headlights to crystal-clear condition at zero charge. These guys are awesome. Needed help with something completely unrelated to auto body, and they could’ve told me they couldn’t help me and send me on my way but they didn’t and for that, i have an incredible amount of respect for them. Would definitely bring my car here and would recommend them to anyone who does great work and who’s customer service is impeccable.
