The addition of cold eucalyptus towels on each floor is a unique touch that members appreciate. I am happy to have found this gym! There is no shortage of gyms here and I visited quite a few before deciding on Equinox. With the variety and quality of classes they offer, I no longer need to pay for a gym membership, and yoga and pilates (mat and reformer) and spin classes. Here I can get all of them in one spot! The classes are great, the gym is clean, it has a spa, a steam room, a smoothie and tea area, a clothing store and there is no shortage of cardio equipment. With the app I can do on demand classes, make spa appointments, add personal workouts (outside of the gym) to my calendar and easily reserve classes.
I am in my 60s joining a gym for the first time of my life. I immediately hired Charles, who is an amazing trainer. He has done more for me than all these years of physical therapy. With three spinal fusion and two hip surgeries, I feel I’m finally ready to strengthen my body with weights and it’s working! I feel stronger and more confident and I’ve lost weight. Charles is so patient and encouraging and pushes you to do your best. I did 2 12 sessions with him And now continuing on my own, but will rehire him as a refresher again I highly recommend Charles, especially if you’re a beginner like me!
Although it was a positive membership specific experience that prompted me to write this review; it's the overall atmosphere that Julia has created @ Equinox Darien that wows me! Thanks again, Julia & Equinox!
