I tried 3 different companies, and trinity Solar from the initial negotiation and the customer support was really helpful and very clear with the price, times frame of the project. Clarissa from the sales department is very diligent.
Nolan Kinne is our Trinity salesperson, and he was awesome through our whole experience. He even showed up on install day. We had a 30yr old roof, so we needed a new one and decided to do all of it through Trinity. The contract process was frustrating as another entity was involved, Sunnova. We had to take a tree down in order to get the roof done. At the time I was still in the construction industry and was very familiar with contracts and insurance clauses. The tree company, not Trinity, I had issues with. It seemed to drag out and, in the end, even though they sent me a COI they did not change their contract that stated I was responsible for any damage, they had no liability. I was not going to sign that. (Read your paperwork people) We ended up with a local guy and he was significantly less money. The change order process through Trinity/Sunnova was frustrating as I never knew if I had the correct contract total with the contract adds and deletions. The roofers did put an obnoxious drip edge on 3/4 of the house, not black like the front but when I reached out about it, they were there the next day and swapped it out. Sunnova is not our favorite, that's who we pay monthly. They are actually quite frustrating. Trinity Solar, however, has always consistently been great. Their service guys were awesome. Their electricians walked through the design plan for the conduit while I was there so we could all agree and its perfect. We went from a typical $550/month electric bill to $0/month. The cost of the solar and roof (as we could not afford them outright) is less than our electric bill was. I highly recommend solar and Nolan from Trinity Solar. For the Trinity person that monitors these reviews, my only suggestion would be a single point on contact. Having a team for the roof, a team for the solar both contingent on tree removal was very hard to navigate who I was supposed to reach out to and for what. Then the e-contracts from the same FI but not always obviously for what, drove me nuts as well.
Great experience so far. After high charges by the electric company, we got in contact with CJ Romano. He came by our house, had a pleasant talk about other things, then got to solar talk and how much the whole setup was going to save us in the long run. We were pleased with the numbers and design, installation and service since. Greatly recommended and appreciate CJ for his outstanding customer service.
