“What can I say about David Lemel and Team Powerhouse Coldwell Banker? Not enough. I owned a home in the Mount Carmel area of Hamden, CT, and needed to downsize and sell. I started with my own plans to make my house stand out as a listing. I was just about to sign with a contractor, but decided to get the advice of a real estate agent before I had the work done. I contacted 3 real estate agencies to compare before I chose one to list with. David Lemel was the third realtor I called. So, by the time we met, the others had walked through the house, listened to my plans, and given feedback on the planned improvements. When I met with David, he listened to me and what I had planned, but as we did our walk-through, he began to draw out (verbally) an entirely different plan. He talked to me about the good points of the house and what updates would make it more appealing to buyers. David’s knowledge of the market, regulations, and what people were looking for was an eye-opener for me. I saw that while my plans were good, they were not good enough. The updates made sense, but I knew they would be costly. So, David introduced me to the Real Vitalize Program. A unique program of Coldwell Banker. I was a little hesitant at first, but I needed to sell and walk away with a certain amount to purchase another house. In the end, I don’t regret my decision to use the program. The contractor and his team were great. They were easy to work with and truly had the vision that they were working on a house that was going to stand out. David was involved from the beginning to the end. He not only connected me with other services (landscaping, moving, etc.) but he also made the initial call to start the ball rolling, and then he followed up to make sure the services provided were to my satisfaction. Everyone he recommended got the job done. They spoke highly of David and truly brought their A-game. Once the house was listed, it was marketed extensively. It wasn’t just a group of pictures on Zillow, but there was a video featuring what I have coined “The Lemel Slide”! We even had interested buyers outside of Connecticut. I was kept informed every step of the way. David was always available to answer questions and would touch base often. I felt like I was talking with a true friend, not just my realtor! He was truly a Godsend. And so, I write this review after closing on my home. We had a contract after about 7 days, and my house sold above the listing price. I can humbly boast that out of all the homes that sold on my street for this year, my house sold for the most!
