About Shaolin Kempo Academy
Shaolin Kempo Academy, established in 1984, is the longest running martial arts and fitness school in the Shoreline communities including Branford, East Haven, North Branford, Fair Haven, and Morris Cove. They offer a wide range of classes for all ages, from Tiny Tigers (3-6 years old) to Kempo (7 and above), Kick Boxing (for both kids and adults), Yoga (12-adults), and Zumba. The academy provides a nurturing environment where students of all levels and ages can enjoy their time. The teacher is commended for being amazing, working one-on-one when needed, and boosting the confidence of an 8-year-old student with the achievement of his white belt. The business owner is highly regarded for their swift response to concerns, reflecting positively on their individual character and the business.
Master Ross runs these classes with a good balance of rigor and sensitivity. He knows just how much to nudge me out of my comfort zone in order to give me confidence to advance my training. There are so many facets to this style, and the challenges are fun even though they are demanding mentally and physically. I leave class and see my life a bit differently. Very grateful to have found this place!
