Worked with Ryan at SavATree in Essex NJ. Super professional, timely, and knowledgeable. Did tree and hedge trimming with his crew, including disposal of cuttings. Service was delayed due to weather, but he fit us in the fastest slot he could since the town gave us a citation about our overgrown hedges. Highly recommend!

This is a long review…if you are considering tree work, which is inherently dangerous work, it merits your reading through this review. I am retired from the Navy, and from federal land management and law enforcement. My wife and I recently hired SavATree for a significant amount of tree work on our property; work that included aged and diseased tree removal, limbing, thinning and “chipping” brush and tree parts. SavATree was founded by Ralph Robbins in 1978 with a single objective in mind; to save trees from the devastating effects of repeated defoliations by the Gypsy Moth Caterpillar (Lymantria dispar). While this moth was accidentally introduced into the United States by French entomologist Leopold Trouvelot in 1868, it was not until the late 1970’s that the population exploded in the Northeast. Ralph, a graduate of Paul Smith’s college and entrepreneur at heart, saw an opportunity to make a difference in support of tree preservation and care.
