Funny story, I found Quartersawn Reclaimed Wood by mistake, however, it was the luckiest mistake ever! We went to several reclaimed wood places and this one was above and beyond all the rest. The expertise, demeanor, craftsmanship and amazing customer service won us over. The showroom is full of beautiful pieces crafted by Sam. We found the perfect mantel! I will come back and post pictures once our wall and mantle are finished. Santiago and Sam are wonderful to do business with and I will be recommending them to everyone I know.Added picture t but it doesn’t do it justice, it’s so beautiful and everyone who has seen it comments on how great it looks.
We originally went to QuarterSawn at the recommendation of a friend looking for a unique mantle; however, since that time our home has become a bit of a showroom for them! Our home had some unique spaces, and we had had trouble finding pieces to fit, but it had not yet occurred to us to look for custom furniture. When we went to look at pieces of wood for the mantle, we saw some of the furniture they had made and decided to ask them to consider some additional items. What a cool find!! I loved their show room, full of creativel examples of how beautiful old wood can become a showpiece in your home. I loved their floors! And a friendly gentleman took us out back to see their workshop and yard. He explained what we were looking at. Over here, a huge hand hewn piece of walnut that was probably once the foundation of a barn, over there, an immense beam of oak that surely could not be cut from a tree these days. What fun wandering among the old pieces of the past! How wonderful that the skilled hands at Rough Sawn can turn these into gorgeous pieces for your home!
