I've reduced the rating of this hospital to 2 stars. I had a question regarding my bill and spoke to Angelica in billing, who was extremely condescending and rude from the start of the call. When I asked if she could transfer me to someone who could help, she replied in a sing-songy voice "too bad so sad" and chuckled and hung up. What absolute *garbage* customer service. I called back and was helped by "Bridgette" who was actually able to answer my questions and help me. I was so blown away by Angelica's remarkably unprofessional demeanor, it felt like I was talking to a child. I'll be going up to the hospital in person to address this with managing staff, as this should not be tolerated at any respectable facility.

I was transported here via EMS when I broke my ankle in 3 places one night. I had never been here before. As I was brought in via emergency services, I had no wait or check-in.My husband met me there, and he was given directions on where to find me.I was given pain meds immediately, and they reset my dislocated ankle. I was scheduled for surgery first thing the following morning.During surgery, they sent text messages to my husband with updates. When I finished surgery, I was back in my room for another 2 days recovering. During that time, I had vitals run every 4 hours, and all my nurses were so nice! I also had PT and Ortho come by to show me how to use my assitive...read full review

I'm writing another review on the hospital staff. I found a woman who was from my generation and she was my saving grace. First off, it's unbelievable how the staff ignores the fact that some people may be in great pain. I set a date for an MRI and was told to enter door 3. I thought great. I can be dropped off and wouldn't have to deal with that pesky check in desk. I walked up to the desk in door 3 and some stern looking woman told me I had to go down a long hallway to check in. Her stern look was something uncalled for. She appeared to be scolding an unruly child but I hobbled down the hallway and the stern woman never offered me a wheel chair...it's just rude. I get to the check in desk only to disturb the young lady and her texting time. She impatiently asked my name and said sit down. She was also stern looking and was clueless that I was in pain. I waited and wondered why I was waiting so I asked. She said "she's doing your paperwork''. She never looked at me, nor offered me a wheel chair, a smile, she never said please, thank you or even go to hell. I treat complete strangers much better when I run into them at the grocery store so why can't the staff at Lutheran Hospital, who's job it is to greet patients of varying stages or pain, grief or uncertainty be as kind. I don't get it. I'll drop one name: Mary. She performed my MRI and she was pleasant, personable, professional and patient. Mary is a solid gold clinical staff member. Lutheran needs a lot more people like her on staff.
