Im giving this company and 8 out of 10 review only because I returned the product due to the quality was quite what I expected. the screws to secure the chainsaw blade damaged my chainsaw bar. but great review for timeliness of shipping and return one process. and Derek was quick to help me
Earlier this year I ordered racks for our 4wheeler on Amazon. The date came for the delivery and they hadn’t arrived. After a week or so I contacted Amazon and they said if they had not arrived by a particular date to come back for a refund. They didn’t make it. So I went through the refund ordeal and got my full refund. A week later the racks arrived. I assumed I did something wrong trying to get the refund and never thought twice about it. Put the racks on and went on with my business thinking I must not have received the refund, or that they would recharge me, or whatever. I was happy with the racks so I just carried on. Around a month later I get a letter from this company explaining that they had issued the refund through Amazon and the racks accidentally got delivered anyhow. It wasn’t their fault, it was the manufacturer’s miscommunication that caused the late delivery. Anyhow, they sent an invoice with that letter for the racks. I looked back at my records and we did in fact receive the refund. I had a “thank you” card on my desk so I wrote them and mailed a check for the racks. I mentioned in the card that l was sorry I stole their racks! Lol. I didn’t think twice about it. I received the racks and therefore owed them for them. So I paid it. They wrote me a kind letter after getting my thank you card and payment. They thanked me for paying them and said in this culture they’ve learned to not expect anyone to follow through with what’s right. The whole company signed the letter saying “thank you.” While cleaning my desk off this evening I ran across it and found this page and wanted to leave this review. Now, first, I’m thankful for their kind sentiment. They didn’t owe me anything. And ever since then I’ve thought about them. Very nice thing to do! But quite honestly it’s amazing to me that it was noteworthy that someone just paid for the product they sold them. It wasn’t admirable. It’s not virtuous. It doesn’t speak of high moral character or integrity. It’s just right. Period. And as thankful as l am that they wrote me and offered the discount on a future purchase, I didn’t deserve anything. That’s how low we’ve set the bar in this day and time. A man simply doing what should be done, only to settle a debt that he owed, and it was impressionable enough to get rewarded. It spoke volumes about Hornet Outdoors Utv/Atv Cargo Solutions, that they would make me feel special about doing what was right. Class move by what I hope is a very successful business. But, at the same time, it says a lot about the day in which we live! The fact that people just simply search for ways to not do right by others is a sad reality. Not gonna end on a negative. Just a positive encouragement for us all to do better! Be honest. It’s not a virtue thing, it’s just the right thing to do. Do what you say. Pay what you owe. Tell the truth.
