I called them after business hours, one day, but did not leave a message. I immediately received a text message saying sorry they missed me and invited me to text them with information or call back during business hours. I texted them that my wife needed to see a doctor to treat an eye injury and we needed a quick appointment because we were traveling. The next morning they called us almost an hour before they even opened and arranged an appointment during the time that they are normally closed for lunch. They saw her and took care of everything. Their responsiveness was amazing. Highly recommend.

I have used Dr Paul Heersink and now Dr Joshua Heersink since 1979. I specifically travel from where ever I am living to use their eye care service. They have state of the art eye equipment and their exams are always thorough and explained in terms I understand. Recently I saw Dr. Joshua Heersink who strongly advised me to get a second opinion from his retina consultant regarding a macular pucker he has monitored since 2017. My retina doctor in North Carolina had been telling me for years my vision had to deteriorate further before surgery was necessary. Dr Heersink spoke to his consultant and managed to quickly get me an appointment. The second opinion informed me the surgery should have been performed several years ago to best restore my vision. If Dr Heersink had not been such a strong patient advocate for me I would still be unable to read with that eye. I am so thankful I followed his advise and used the surgeon he referred to me. Now if anything ever happened to my other eye I would still have vision good enough in the eye that had surgery to pass a driver license test!
