We were researching places to find dance instructors to help teach us to dance and to coordinate our first dance for our wedding. While we were looking and we found DAM dance studios and scheduled a phone conversation with JP. We immediately liked her and decided to do our first trial session with her. Coming to the dance studio we were very nervous because we are not dancers but JP was so kind and immediately settled our worries. We decided to book 10 lessons with her. Every lesson we did, we learned something new from forming connections, to inside/outside turns, to simple motions, JP was able to teach us everything. Not only that, but she was so kind and patient with us. She took each lesson at our pace and was encouraging us the whole time. By the end of our sessions our confidence grew and we were getting compliments from others about our huge dancing talent improvements. Because we started practicing early (1 year before the wedding) we were really able to space out our lessons and we had time to practice at home. That’s something that JP was able to see and would always compliment us on. Our last two lessons focused on really perfecting our first dance and how to just dance during the wedding. I was very nervous about dancing in front of everyone and JP was able to completely ease those worries. Suffice to say we rocked our first dance and people were really impressed. We got compliments about it all night long and even after the wedding. The rest of the night I was out on the dance floor, pulling everyone else out too. Everyone had a blast and we had a full night of dancing. I would highly recommend JP to anyone looking for a dance instructor. She’s funny, kind, talented, and an excellent teacher. She’s amazing and we couldn’t be more grateful to her. Thank you JP, you made our night so fun!
We absolutely love DAM Dance Media Arts! JP is an amazing teacher—truly one of a kind. I’ve had my daughter in various activities over the years, including dance, ballet, and gymnastics, but this is the first time we’ve had a teacher who genuinely cares about helping students learn and grow. JP has created an environment where my daughter is thriving. She looks forward to every class and absolutely loves JP—and so do I! JP is not only kind and encouraging, but also incredibly efficient and organized, which makes everything run smoothly. On top of that, the classes are very affordable, making high-quality dance instruction accessible. If you're looking to get your child into dance, I can't recommend this studio and JP enough. It’s been such a positive experience for our family!
We are grateful to have found a lovely local dance studio to teach our young daughter. She is learning both ballet and tap in one class and we recently enjoyed her first mini show performance after only 4 months. It was adorable. We appreciated seeing other classes perform and impressed with the diverse dance classes offered and the length of time some of the students had been with DAM. The owner, JP, is clearly passionate about dance and bringing a wonderful experience to each of her students. Her instructor, Barb, has been excellent. My six year old daughter describes her as "nice & fun" and looks forward to class every week. As parents, we appreciate the ease of working with DAM from fitting this activity in our busy schedules and the friendly and relaxed, yet very professional, environment that our daughter gets to experience as her introduction into the dance world.
