A year ago, four days after having my fourth baby, I was diagnosed with a large brain tumor and swelling in my brain. I needed emergent surgery, and was brought to Swedish Hospital from Nebraska. Two days later, Dr. Syre and Dr. Eddie were able to surgically remove the entire tumor. Through my entire stay, it was so reassuring to be in their care. I knew that I was in the best hands. Their bedside manner was extraordinary--they made sure to explain the entire procedure and what to expect afterwards. They were patient and kind during the scariest experience of my life. Three days after surgery, I walked out of the hospital and went home to my newborn and kids. My recovery was smooth, and I was quickly back to playing with my kids, running, hiking, and doing all the things our family loves to do. I will forever be grateful to God that I had the the most skilled surgeons.

You need to start treating all patients fairly despite their financial situation.
