We completed the pre-planning recently. Janene was a pleasure to work with,. She took the time to explain everything and answer all of our questions. It's not easy thinking about what will happen when we die, but it really was easy to work with her. And what a gift to our relatives to not have to worry about anything when the time comes! The natural funeral is one of the most remarkable places I can imagine. They treated my best friend with an incredible amount of honor, gentleness, and consideration. Every single thing Austin said or did for us felt comforting and helpful. I'm honestly touched and moved beyond words. Harpy, my friend, was so unbelievably scared people would treat her body unkindly after her passing, a fear that I know many queer and trans people have, and she was treated with absolutely the utmost kindness, as were we all. It felt safe to leave her. She was clearly in good hands.
