Hospitals are inherently inhospitable. But the folks at children’s hospital go above and beyond to take care of their patients and families, at least on floor 4! There is no chapel or meditation room available at this location, I guess only Adventist hospitals provide that. Seems like it should be in every hospital sacred or secular nowadays in my opinion, seeing that the value of meditation practices has been proven pretty widely. Thanks to all the ladies of floor 4 for taking care of us, especially when I hadn’t had any food and was crying. I’m sure I wasn’t the first nor the last, you guys rock.
Dr Plost in Dermatology is one of my favorite medical providers, in all specialties, to date. He has seen several of my children and always makes it a positive, informative experience. He’s slammed at the Highlands Ranch site of The Children’s Hospital, but that doesn’t take away from his attention to care. The employees at the front desk when you first enter and check-in have such a cheery and friendly disposition as well. It’s always a welcoming environment and I do enjoy that the facility campus itself is easy to navigate.
I had rushed my son here in March for a severe asthma attack, the ER staff was absolutely wonderful. Asked questions clearly, explained everything they were doing and why. Acted quickly to stabilize my son without just overwhelming me and him. When he had to be transferred to the Aurora location to be placed in PICU they were very vocal through the whole process and why it was being done.They made a very scary and stressful situation become more comfortable for me and my little one. Grateful for that amazing ER staff!
