“Been tattooed by Melis multiple times now, one small piece and two large and it’s been a delight to see this studio grow, from a smallish office space to the whole building. The building is gorgeous, the space welcoming and relaxing and the people have such positive energy. Even driving out to Evergreen is a gorgeous drive, there something about driving into the mountains that sets your mind in the right space for what’s to come. I adore Melis and her art. Being tattooed places you in a vulnerable position while a form of violence is being done to your skin, but every time I was on her table I felt safe and protected and supported through the whole process, especially as a women who does not like feeling vulnerable. I live in a larger body and not once did I feel like it inconvenienced her with my extra skin and curves. It truly felt like a collaboration between us to bring this idea to life. Her artwork flows and fits my body, enhances it to the point I no longer avoid mirrors and every time I step out of the shower and see my reflection, I smile (been a long time before I could say that). Look forward to coming back in the future for more journeys together. Highly recommend this studio and all its artists!“
