Red before I met up with him and his amazing staff, I was no longer able to function. My grip was gone. I was using scissors to open paper envelopes. It’s been three weeks and I’ve been to the gym twice. I can finally text without using voice to text. After a lifetime of poor posture combined with 4 years in the grocery industry, at only 29 years old my body felt wrecked beyond repair. I was in constant neck and shoulder pain and would regularly wake up in the morning with severe back pain and an inability to move my neck to either side. I lost many days to laying in bed in agony. I had tried massage, physical therapy, acupuncture, dry needling, and had even been to previous chiropractors where I did not have a good experience. I knew a lot of my issues resulted from PTSD and anxiety – assuming a protective posture, holding my tension in my shoulders, and sleeping in fetal position. I felt hopeless and doomed to suffer for life for issues in my upbringing that I had no control over.

When I first started care we took an x-ray of my cervical spine, and it felt both validating and shocking to see how severe the damage was. My neck was completely curved in the wrong direction. I was finally able to see why I not only had so much tension but also had been suffering headaches regularly for over a decade. Dr. Steinle was sensitive to my case and is a truly gentle and calming presence during adjustments, which is so important for someone with neck trauma – or any physical trauma for that matter! We got to work with adjustments, shockwave therapy, and a very effective corrective tool called the denneroll. Seeing how many other patients in the office had found relief and lasting change, I was hopeful.

In a short time, I was doing a lot better pain-wise, and in 6 months I felt like a different person. My first x-ray compared to my most recent x-ray is proof alone of that transformation. I can move so much more freely, I have better posture, my headaches are pretty much completely gone, and I see a future where my neck is in perfect shape. The sharp pain I felt frequently for years is now a genuinely rare occurrence. Without the pain, my emotional, mental, and spiritual state is deeply improved as well! Like a good therapist, a good chiropractor can be hard to find. I feel SO grateful to have found Dr. Steinle and Health and Harmony! It has truly changed the trajectory and quality of my life forever. I am back to crafting and yoga – two things I had to give up entirely before this healing. The best part of all is that I was able to get ahead and make lasting structural changes to my spine before they inevitably got worse with time; I feel as though I have added many, many more years of happiness to my life, and avoided a very dark alternative!
