Called to get my dog spayed. They were booked for a couple weeks, and I passed off my situation as needing it sooner than later, which in my mind was accurate. But due to the thorough education the receptionist gave me, I was enlightened that it would be better to wait numerous weeks after the dog was past her first heat. She could have just been direct with her answer and that was it, but she inquired about what kind of dog it was, etc. Another place in town I called was just matter of fact, and almost rude as if this is what we recommend, and that's it. On the Monday before Thanksgiving, my poor pup ran through a barbed wire fence and cut herself in four places. My husband and I frantically searched the town of Cortez for a vet. Our regular vet was closed for the week and two other vets that advertised themselves as emergency vet clinics wouldn't take her. I searched Yelp for Durango vets, got the same run-around, but finally connected with the staff at Aspentree. Because our pup hadn't eaten that morning, they were willing and able to get her fixed up. They were kind and caring during this stressful time. They even gushed about what a good girl she was. Thank you, Aspentree!

Dr. Jen and staff are the best!!! I drive 2 hours to come to them. My poor puppy Zeus had to have emergency surgery from a blockage Tuesday and they treated him and i immediately and kept me informed. I have a full schedule of patients in my town and they helped me figure out his care and my travels swiftly. Super super important to me. My two Melanosis are my babies and they treat them like family too. Thank you again for helping us so quickly!! Best DOC around!!! 10 stars if I could give them.
