From my first visit, working with Amber has been a match made in eyebrow threading heaven! I HIGHLY recommend checking out Amber's new studio, Tru Beauty! After a horrifying experience with eyebrow threading at the Cherry Creek Mall, I originally met Amber while she was working at Brows on Upper 15th. In the past, I've always had my eyebrows threaded (I have very sensitive skin so waxing isn't really an option). So, when I first moved to Denver in February 2013, I started a search for a local eyebrow threading studio. First on my list was a boutique at the Cherry Creek Mall....BIG mistake. Unfortunately, one visit left me with almost NO eyebrows at all. As result, I called Brows on Upper 15th in a panic...Brows on Upper 15th recommended Amber and since then, my life has never been the same (maybe a little dramatic, but needless to say, Amber is really that good)! During my initial consultation, I told Amber about my experience at the Cherry Creek mall. Amber suggested I see her every week to start, and then taper off into monthly visits. I took Amber's guidance and saw her every week for about the first 3 months (to check my progress and prevent me from over plucking in between visits). Eventually, every week became every other week, and then every 3 weeks. Which, soon became every month, and is now every 2-3 months. Throughout the process, Amber diligently helped me monitor my eyebrows as they grew back, and helped me create a shape that I could realistically maintain long-term. She also taught me how to pencil-in my eyebrows, which, has made a huge improvement to my overall look. It's been a few years since I started working with Amber and I am still constantly getting compliments from friends/passerbys regarding my eyebrows. I have never felt more confident with/without makeup. If you haven't tried Tru Beauty, or simply haven't visited for a while, I absolutely recommend scheduling an appointment today (via phone, or online-SO convenient!!). My aunt and I have been a clients of Amber's for a few years now and I can't imagine I ever lived without her! She is kind, professional, creative and absolutely talented. It takes a lot to tame my full thick brows and no one has ever done them quite like her. She is precise and is more conservative on her initial approach, which is key to getting the shape that best suits your face. She really looks at the structure of your brow and tailors them to your features. It's refreshing to find someone who doesn't just follow a trend but really caters to each client. Her centrally located studio is clean, comfortable and relaxing. I always enjoy my visits with her and walk out feeling like a million bucks.
