About Optum Primary Care

Optum Primary Care offers a variety of services and aims to improve the healthcare system. Dr. Tewes is a wonderful pediatrician who truly has a calling and passion for treating children. She listens and gives the best advice and medical opinion. The front desk staff is excellent and the lab staff is excellent. Doctors have been fantastic. Peter Ienatch is the best provider who really cares and makes patients feel like their concerns are being addressed. The office has also been commended for its responsive staff who promptly handle patient questions and insurance issues. Despite these positive reviews, some patients have expressed dissatisfaction with their experiences.

Cannot get through on the telephone because the number is no longer in service. I was given no paperwork after an appointment wherein the doctor stopped one of my medications. I want to insure that I am not taking that medication.

The stars are because my time with Dr. Yang were fine. The missing stars are for my experience with the behavioral health department. I had a 45 minute consult with an LCSW in which she obviously didn't want to be there and expressed she was burnt out in her job. Fast forward and I am now getting billed $630 for 100 minutes of psychiatric evaluation. I never once saw a psychiatrist. I saw a burnt out LCSW that didn't help me at all. I was also in the office for 45 minutes so how they can get away with 100 minutes of billing is beyond me. Even after insurance I'm expected to pay $300 for a 45 minute meeting with a social worker. I've been coming here for 10 years. Staff is always professional and seem to care. I've always been able to get appts that are convenient for my schedule and on a timely manner .
