I have been very happy with my care from Lauren Hood. It was hard finding a psychiatric nurse practitioner that actually had real history and experience working in mental health and it shows, because she really knows her stuff! She is compassionate and understanding. I have never had any issues with timeliness of orders and she has been great about getting things taken care of quickly when I've had any concerns/issues.
I cannot recommend Lauren Hood highly enough. Finding the right psychiatric provider—and the right medication— has been overwhelming, but Lauren made the entire process feel safe, collaborative, and genuinely hopeful. Thank you!!!
You can trust Christy with your life(mental health). She is incredibly professional, aware of boundaries but also makes you feel so safe and welcome to share and open up. She is respectful of your time and flexible if you need to switch to telehealth. While she is encouraging, she also holds you accountable and provides multiple paths to follow/ techniques / therapy homework (such as journaling) to try out at home . She has great attention to details and is very child friendly (I had to take my baby to sessions with me). Best therapist I've ever had.
