My husband and I were on our honeymoon in Idaho Springs and decided to go horseback riding. The drive over on Virginia Canyon road was BEAUTIFUL! The stables were a great experience, very laid back and friendly people! It was a beautiful ride with amazing views! We went on September 24th, 2025 and the trees were perfectly changing! Highly recommend this to anyone! Oh and lots of cute dogs to pet and love on!!
I have been on many trail rides in Colorado and this was by far the best one I have ever been on, the horses were amazing, the views were spectacular and the guides were amazing!! 10 out of 10!!!
We had a wonderful time this weekend! Katie was our guide, and Katie was greaty! It was my husband and me; he’s a very experienced rider and I’m decidedly not. Katie gave enough instruction to make me comfortable, but not so much so that my hubby was begging to leave. She struck the perfect balance of conversation and quiet solitude to enjoy the trail. She was full of info about the mines we passed, and generally made our trek wonderful.
The horses were well fed and seemed to be well taken care of. Ours were calm and friendly, and responded to the slightest of rein direction.
