I really wanted to like this place and had been going for several years, until... they just weren't able to help me any further, and I did not want to be left with inadequately corrected vision that was affecting daily life, work, and driving. A couple years ago, they did not quite get the prescription right and it had to be adjusted a few times. Although still a little fuzzy, I decided I could live with it. I last visited Dr. Murphy for my annual exam this past November 2019 and the staff you see face to face I would give a 100% rating. From Kara who does the initial intake (and still remembered me back from my first visits in 2010) to the Doctor herself I feel comfortable, at home, and give her my complete trust in my vision. So I LOVE Dr. Murphy and still drive from Southeast Aurora to her practice for my annual checkups. The only area in which she could improve is her back office staff. I seem to always have issues with requests not being fulfilled until the 2nd or 3rd attempt. This could be enough to turn away new or established patients. Thank you Dr. Murphy for seeing me on a holiday. Definitely put my mind at ease. To see fine one minute and then see spots, feathers, and mists the next was definitely alarming. She explained everything to me so simply and carefully making sure I understood what was happening. I left her office feeling comfortable with my condition.
