The windows are great but customer service could improve. I placed the order for the windows and they told me it would be 4-6 weeks. I waited 8 weeks before calling them for a status update. When I called they scheduled an appointment for the install. Obviously the windows had arrived but didn't bother to call to schedule the install. The install was scheduled for 11 am. They didn't show up by 12:30 so I called. They told me they were delayed on the first job and would be there at 1:30. Again, they didn't bother to call. They showed up at 2:30. The install was in early January. They removed both windows and left for about 30 minutes without bothering to tell me what was going on. They got the install done and the windows are great but the customer service could improve. I only had 2 windows to be replaced and some companies wouldn't even give me a quote or the quote was ridiculously expensive. They will do any job no matter how small.
Our windows were nasty aluminum from 1978. We got quotes from a major big box store and a major window company. Although the warranty from the major window company was good, the price was FOUR TIMES HIGHER than New Windows for America AND "offered us" a 30% discount if we signed "today". The big box store warranty made us feel like if there was a problem the blame would be shifted back and forth and we would be stuck. We complained to a friend about how we we were so upset and he said he had just recently had NWFA do his whole house reasonably and with an amazing warranty. So of course, we called. Kevin K came out, no high pressure, gave us the rundown for a really great value, much less than the others WITH a fantastic warranty. We LOVE our windows! We had a crack in one probably due to some expansion, they came out within a couple of days and fixed it, we know that construction can come with weather related issues and we were very satisfied with the quick response. We have since recommended NWFA to another friend who is completely satisfied as well.
