I have a pair of Birkenstock Suede Bostons that are my every day shoe. Love 'em, but I wore out the soles so I went to John to get them patched up.
He did an amazing job! He was able to swap out the entire bottom with a much more durable rubber sole and they look good as new. He even freshened up the cork a bit to protect them!
I think the price was fair and it feels like a much better option than buying new shoes. He was quick and friendly - I'll definitely be going back the next time I need some shoe touch ups.
Great service! I had an inch long gash in a pair of leather work boots, and John put a patch on that'll let me get another 5 years out of them. I call $20 for a patch on $200 boots a good deal!
I brought in a purse for my wife that had a broken strap. He said he could fix but would need to remove the withered leather and replace. He was a very pleasant man throughout our conversation. I picked up a few days later and he told me he had to hand stitch instead of using a machine. It doesn’t look exactly as before but close enough. Wife is happy with the work and I’m sure it will be secure. Again, just a super nice guy and I recommend.
