I had a great experience working with Dan at J2.26 Engineering. He was extremely helpful, responsive, and thorough throughout the entire process. This was my first time removing a load-bearing wall, so I had a lot of questions, and Dan took the time to explain things clearly and add extra details to the plans that gave me confidence moving forward with the project.
He was also quick to respond when the city requested clarifications and helped get the drawings revised so I could move the permit process along. I can’t say enough good things about this team. They’re knowledgeable, down-to-earth, and incredibly easy to work with. The owner takes the time to explain things in a way that actually makes sense — no jargon, just clear communication and solid expertise. I’ve always had prompt responses from Dan and his office. Called today (Tuesday) and he’ll be out on Friday at noon because I want to remove some walls in my basement. This will be the third house Daniel has come to look at for me. I’m also a structural geologist, so I have a very good idea of what is going on in terms stress/strain, and Dan has always said and done the right things for me to be confident in his evaluations.
