My mother passed away last month on a Sunday afternoon, at the amazing age of 93. She and I often drove past the Horan & McConaty funeral home in Arvada, and I would joke, “Mom, we really need to stop in and make some arrangements for the day you decide to ‘change zip codes,’ as she humorously said when my father passed away.
