I was in Yucca Valley between work appointments and needed a haircut, so I checked out a couple of local barbershops.
The first place I tried was friendly, but the timing just didn’t work out. Even though I was told 11:30, it was clear they were running behind, and I couldn’t wait.
Then I found Old Town Barbers—and that completely turned things around. I was greeted right away, and within minutes I was in the chair. The stylist was efficient, professional, and knew exactly what they were doing.

What a hidden gem! My family was out in Joshua Tree for the weekend and my 7 year old really needed a last minute haircut on a Saturday.
I called to check if they were taking walk ins and was welcomed immediately to an open chair and a karaoke stage. Old Town Barber Shop is truly creating a memorable experience when the standard barber shop can become another waiting room filled with phones and blank faces.
The owner and barbers were so hospitable and Brandon had so much patience with my son. He looked great in the end and I can’t wait to see what they do with an open mic night.
Julz squeezed me in for a walk-in haircut and did a great job. The shop is a nice space and Julz is super personable. The kind of guy you want to succeed in his business he has started. I will definitely go back when I’m in town.
