I don't like to write poor reviews nor give a 1-star rating. HOWEVER, exceptions are made where needed. If I could put a ZERO STAR, I would. I want to forewarn others from the horrible experience I had endured. I was referred to Michelle. I tried her 4pk 2hrs each session that I tolerated because it was early on and wanted to give Michelle a chance and felt, at that time, the treatment was helpful. Because of that, I bought her larger package deal of 24 sessions of 2hrs each after my 4pk was completed. A free session is given after every 10 sessions, therefore, the 24pk would be a total of 26 sessions for over $2k. I also wanted to help support small businesses during the pandemic. I tolerated her bad-mouthing other clients through each sessions where she kept talking non-stop for 2hrs, calling her clients "stupid," "cheap," etc. Each session became more and more toxic and energy-draining than relaxing, but I paid a lot and have to tough through it. Not only did I had to dealt with her bad-mouthing her clients on every sessions I had, she harassed the person who referred me for my schedule instead of contacting me directly AND talked behind my back to my referred person not once but twice! The person who also referred me has also stopped going to her as well. I guess she didn't learned her lesson from another yelp reviewer who posted their bad experience with her. I tried to help Michelle by giving her constructive feedbacks in person. Let me tell you, she DID NOT take it well, especially about the tipping. She bad-mouth me to the referred person. Michelle expects all her clients to pay her $20 tip regardless of your finances and situation, even on the "free sessions" she expected $20. If you give her less than that, she will absolutely talk badly about you to her next clients. Michelle also pry into people's life for information even if you told her no, she'll try even more. Michelle has also fraudulently charged a client's card without permission for they had to make a claim in order to get their money back, and the only reason why I knew about it was because SHE was bad mouthing the client to me! On my final day of my package, I told her that I'll tip her $30 even though I didn't want to but I thought it'll be my farewell gift so I'll suck it up despite all that I had tolerated and endured. Michelle then tried to convince me the savings she offered in the package and TELLING me how much I should tip her, as if I need her to help me spend my money. I tried to explain to her what gratuity means before, but she dismissed it and said that it's expected. Nothing on her signs states gratuity is included or must be given. I even told her that I paid tip on those "free sessions" to which she said I did not. How absurd and how dare she denied it after accepting my tips on those "free sessions!" Michelle kept going on trying to convince me to give her a $40 tip to which none of her explanations made any sense and combining parts of both packages that I bought wherever she saw fit. She then raised her voice and tone at me. I asked her, "Michelle, why are you raising your voice at me?" She said she's not and lowered her voice stating that she's trying to explain the savings in the package. As she further continued to try to convince me, she raised her voice and tone again at me all the while I stood and listen to her the entire time. I told her I had enough of her shenanigans, I want my card that I handed to her back. She didn't respond to my request so I went to take my card from her hand and she held onto it so hard that I had to pry my own card back at which point the card was bending. Noticing that, I stated to Michelle, "That's my card," in a calm voice to which only then did she released her hold of the card. I took my card and left leaving no tip as she did not deserve it. The universe knew what was coming and helped me get out of there.
I really didn't want to give this a one star. The lady is very nice. However, today I called to asked for a refund because I have an eye infection. This was the only place where My eyes were exposed. I did wear a mask but I was laying face down for an hour and my eyes were exposed to the sheets; made contact with the sheets around the massage table. The lady also touched my face at one point. I called to explain my situation and politely said I don't feel comfortable finishing my last session. I was told I signed an agreement of no refunds. All I signed was my receipt nothing that said no refund even if services are not rendered. Instead I was told it's not their fault and got reprimanded for canceling last Saturday last minute. I explained it was because I had the eye infection and that day it was worse, why would I show up? In my opinion, if I got a massage where I am faced down on Saturday, get an itchy eye Sunday and then subtitle continue for a week and 2 days, it is safe to say it came from this place. This is the only time I have had this. So please before you book, ask questions, make sure you see the sheets being changed in front of you and be careful.
I was disappointed that Yelp deleted my previous review I posted several months ago. I started to my treatment with Michelle in late October 2019. I was treated for my asthma, insulin resistance and weight loss. After just a few sessions I started to feel more energized, black hair started to regrow, and I started to loss weight in an effortless way. Michelle was informative, understood my body and what it needed. I was 6 months old when I was diagnosed with asthma and now I am 53 years old. After all these years of taking all sorts of medications I was obese and nearing diabetes. I paused the treatment when the schools closed due to the pandemic. However, as my body had started to function more efficiently and I had more energy I have continued to lose weight. I look forward to being able to resume and continue the treatment to better health. Thank you Michelle for your expertise.
