Since November 2022, I have been training at this gym, and I can honestly say that I love it. This gym is by far the greatest that I have trained at out of all the others. It's a terrific gym overall with friendly staff and gym members, along with a clean and safe environment. Milton, the owner, is an incredible fighter and coach. His methods, along with those of the other coaches, are remarkable and, most importantly, practical. Not a single technique that I have been taught has not been effective for me. Milton Agruello Mixed Martial Arts Academy is the right place to attend if you want to continue your martial arts training or begin your journey as a fighter.
I saw the sign and stopped in on a Saturday with my 1 year-old. Milton was running a summer camp for kids and offered to let me try a class for free.Many good things to say.FIRST: the kids classes will make your child virtually bully proof. I've seen several of the instructors work with kids and ALL OF THEM ARE GREAT. The training is intense but only for the kids who are ready for that level. The instructors also know how to make it fun for the children and give breaks when needed. SECOND: When people say 'all levels accepted' it's true. This is the exact type of gym you hope to find when looking for a place to start training in combat sports, whether you’re a serious competitor, hobbyist, or just looking for a fun way to get your cardio in. It’s clean, it’s bright, and it’s well appointed with many heavy bags, speed bags, pads, a weight training station, and octagon. But the best part (and most important) are the instructors. Coach Milton and Coach Gabe have all the qualities that make someone a great teacher: kindness, patience, deep knowledge, and an understanding of the different ways that different people learn. So glad I found it!!
