Dr. Leser has been my eye doctor for over 12 years; I didn’t know how lucky I was to have this doctor. This past week I had what might have been a serious eye injury, a freak accident with a car door that cut my eye and eyelid. I’d never had an eye injury before and I didn’t realize the panic that sets in with this kind of trauma. I was in shock, slightly incoherent, and I wasn’t sure if I should go to an emergency room or to my ophthalmologist Dr. Leser (the blood and bruising freaked me out). I just showed up - Dr.Leung immediately saw me (without any kind of appointment, my husband drove me over to their office and there I am with my face a bloody mess) and she ran a barrage of tests. She explained the results, prescribed medicines and helped me understand the injury and, really important, she helped calm me down! When I went back in for a follow up with Dr. Leser, he was just as thorough, giving me lots of time and attention to help monitor the healing. It’s been a horrid week dealing with this, but I just want to say thank you to Dr. Leser and Dr. Leung for taking such good care of me, not just for the past twelve years of eye exams and glasses and the usual expected eye issues. But thank you for your compassionate and expert care when it was an emergency, and thankfully, not a serious injury, but one I could recover from with your help.
