About River Bend Nursing Center
River Bend Nursing Center is a caring facility that has made significant improvements recently. The staff members are kind, warm, and attentive to residents, providing good care. Family members express appreciation for the responsive management and the overall positive environment. While some suggest enhancements in staff customer service skills and more thorough orientation for new families, the general sentiment is that the staff works hard to support residents and their families. Many feel grateful for the excellent care provided and trust the staff to look after their loved ones. The new social worker makes time for residents even without an appointment. Residents' care has been very good, with staff ensuring they are well-groomed and clean. The staff members are attentive to residents' needs, such as checking insulin levels and facilitating outings. However, some concerns have been raised regarding the lack of activities to support residents' mental health, the lack of communication with family members about residents' health, and the insufficient assistance provided to residents with daily tasks such as brushing teeth and using the restroom. The facility is also encouraged to address issues related to residents' diet, access to personal belongings, and the disturbance caused by other residents.

God bless them.

The nurses tell my dad he's complaining when he asks nurses for help, which upsets him because it's their duty to provide assistance. They do not help him brush his teeth. The soap they use to bathe him irritates his skin, so he itches and scratches a lot. They took his glasses away when they moved him into another room that helped him see better. They refuse to ween...read full review
